COMMUNITY CARE 2020

On 30 April 2020, the CHU Fund launched a community care program at MH Mall Shenzhen, where care packs were distributed to 1,000 hardship families, including those with children suffering from chronic medical conditions. With the sudden onset of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, the Fund decided to do more to help with the community and launched this community care program to help these families tide over the challenging period.

Spearheading this care program is the youngest of the three sisters who founded the CHU Fund. Alicia Chu, 16, said: “When we heard about the impact of the pandemic, we got in touch with the Longhua District Charity to understand more about the situation and immediately decided to launch this community care program. As the theme of the event goes – The Power of Giving; The Hope for Growth – we hope that more kind souls will join in to help spread love and warmth for these families in need”.
