WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Alicia Chu founded the Caring Hearts United (CHU) Fund together with her elder sisters in 2019, at the age of 15. Growing up, she always had a strong passion and interest to give back to society and to help the community. Besides regular volunteer work, she has always sought to make a real difference.​

 

The motivation for a fund dedicated to helping sick children stemmed from her personal experience. Her grandfather passed away when she was six years old after battling cancer, and through this incident, she realized how the whole family suffers when one member becomes ill. This is all the more so when it's the children who becomes sick.
 

Hence, the CHU Fund was set up to enhance efforts and fill a gap by Shenzhen's Longhua District Charity – which aids more than 800 underprivileged families under its care - by being dedicated towards the medical treatment and long-term recovery care for children with serious medical conditions.

 

Together, we hope to create a better future for the sick children in China.
